MONDAY MUSINGS: I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT
It’s hard sometimes to keep track of things. I know, I’m retired, so I have all the time in the world. But that’s not true. Right at the moment, I’m dealing with three books at once, at various stages of the process. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from dabbling in other stories and novel ideas. Here’s what’s going on for the first three.
RETURN TO RAINBOW RIDGE: I have mostly ignored this creation since I released it on Kindle, happy it was a real book at last. I need to up the marketing several levels. Some recent news may inspire me to do that. This book has been selected as a finalist in the 2020 Oklahoma Romance Writers Guild Heart Awards. It’s an honor to be selected is this select group.
RULE NUMBER ONE: I am feverishly working on getting the latest draft of this novel ready for my editor. Hopefully, that will be in a few days. Editing is not my favorite part of the process, and I just want to get it done. But I won’t take any shortcuts—one step at a time.
HIS KIND OF MUSIC: This third story in my Second Chance Romance series is well underway in the first draft and critique group processes. With a bit of luck, it will be finished early next year.
I already have the fourth book planned out (sort of). It’s called SOMETHING MISSING, the fourth in the Second Chance Romance series. I try not to look at it too much, but I’ve already got the cover designed. After that, there are eight more books I’ve sketched out for this Second Chance Romance series.
