MONDAY: WRITING IS EVERYTHING—NOT QUITE

It’s been a few days since I posted anything here. It’s not like I haven’t been busy, quite the opposite. Even writing has been a regular endeavor for me. But there is more to life—really!

Seriously, I do have other obligations, for family, for church, even for writing besides my own work. They all form the patchwork of activity the is my life.

Writing is still important. Besides working on editing my first book, Return to Rainbow Ridge, I’ve been preparing a submission for the Best Banter Contest sponsored by the Mid-Michigan chapter of Romance Writers of America. I’m using a scene I wrote as backstory for what will probably be my third novel, His Kind of Music.

I also attended the monthly meeting of Oklahoma City Writers, Inc. on Saturday. It’s a great gathering of writers of all kinds, with lots of good information presented. On top of that, my regular critique group met this morning.

So—I’m not exactLy sitting here doing nothing. There’s lots of things to keep me busy. I don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Writing isn’t everything, in my life or in the world in general. But it is important to me, and I don’s see that changing anytime soon, either.
