ANOTHER FRIDAY: I'M WORKING, I PROMISE
I know I haven’t posted anything here since last Friday. IT’s been another busy week. I got several items on my “TO DO” list done. But my main job has been updating the 3rd draft of Return to Rainbow Ridge so I can send it off to my editor before Monday.
I’m almost there, as much as I can ever be. I have a couple more chapters to review and incorporate Beta Readers comments. I the process, I’ve taken out about ten pages of dialogue and description, things that weren’t really needed. I also changed the ending significantly. It’ still a happy ending, but a bit more realistic and fitting with the story.
I’m also thinking of what else has to happen related to publishing this book. I ordered some bookmarks to give away as marketing aids. I’ve also done most of the design work for the book’s cover. I still need to finalize the blurb—the description on the back cover designed to entice the potential reader to buy my book. And of course, I’m thinking about and working on the next book I’m writing, Rule Number One.
So, you see I’m not sitting around doing nothing. But as much as I’d like to write something here everyday, I don’t see that happening. I’ll do what I can. That’s all any of us can do.
