FRIDAY: AT LAST!

Yes, it’s Friday! I know, I’m retired, so what difference does it make? None, really, but it does mark the passage of time, the days rolling by. Of course, all that is fine. I just wish I was a more productive writer! It seems to depend on what I’m writing. Right now, my main focus is rewriting my first novel, Return to Rainbow Ridge, but it’s still slow going.

I’m trying to be objective and unemotional about this situation. I’m working through the manuscript to decide what needs to go, what needs to be add, what needs to be changed and what has to move to another chapter. Despite my natural analytical nature, when it comes to writing I’m a “panther,” a writer who writes by the “seat of my pants” rather than plan it all out in advance. This seems to work well for me in the initial creative stage, not so much when it comes to revisions and rewriting.

I’m trying to keep the pressure on, to keep working every day. But other responsibilities and the effects of the progress of time, physical and mental, have their effect on my productivity. And I’ve decided it will be far better to do it right than do it quickly.

So—when will it be released, published on Amazon? I’m a little gunshy about setting dates now. My best guess is sometime in March. We’ll see what God has in mind for me.
