FRIDAY VIDEO: THE WICKED GAME OF LOVE
I’ve been busy, with writing and other things. My first two books are taking up much of my time, in different ways. Both are requiring the best of my writing skills.
Sometimes the hardest part of writing such stories is to figure out how the characters would really feel. In my second story, Rule Number One, includes a heroine who resists falling in lover with a childhood friend. It’s not a game to her, but the lyrics of the song, Wicked Games, seem to fit what she feels: “I don’t want to fall in love.” The lyrics have such a powerful message.
The world was on fire and no one could save me but you
It's strange what desire will make foolish people do
I'd never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you
And I'd never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you
No, I don't want to fall in love
Love can be a wicked game for some, one they are afraid to play. But the rewards are worth the risks. No matter what this song says.
Here’s the video of Chris Isaak singing the iconic song, “Wicked Game.” Enjoy.
