MONDAY MUSINGS: STILL HERE, STILL WRITING—REALLY!

I know, I know. I haven’t posted anything on my blog or website or Facebook writing page for more than—yikes, more than two months! I promise I haven’t been goofing off, quite the opposite. Why IS that, you ask? I can offer some reasons—not excuses.

I have been writing away on the 3rd/4th draft of my third book, HIS KIND OF MUSIC. which I had hoped to release by the end of June—just a few weeks away. As anyone knows who has done this, the last edits are the toughest, because you are getting down to where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. My work now will shape the final result. Oh, and I still have some Beta readers to hear from as well as my Editor. All by the end of June . . .

On top of all that work, we are planning a trip to Europe later this summer, to visit my daughter and her family in Germany with a much-anticipated side trip to LONDON. Yes, we’re going to the very location for HIS KIND OF MUSIC. I had originally intended to have the book released before our trip, but now . . .

In addition, I’m not at my productive best, due to anxiety from all I’ve mentioned plus some other personal and family issues I’d rather not get into. So, I have much more to do than usual at a time when my productivity is lower than it’s been for quite a while.

So, I’m afraid things like blogging and marketing my work have fallen down the to-do list. I’ll admit, marketing isn’t my favorite thing anyway.

I should be able to reveal the cover for HIS KIND OF MUSIC soon, Meanwhile, never fear. I’ll get there one way or another. I have faith—in God if not in myself.
