TUESDAY THOUGHTS: MAKING PROGRESS
Submit draft of HIS KIND OF MUSIC manuscript to my Beta Readers: CHECK! I’ve taken one more step along the path to publishing my third book. I should still be on track to having the edited manuscript ready for my professional editor by April 18.
That means I have a shot at releasing it by the end of May. That would be eleven months since my second book, RULE NUMBER ONE, was released. My goal is still to be able to publish two books a year. I would be happy right now with nine months between them.
So, now what? Two things are obvious for what happens next. First, I will proceed with book number four, SOMETHING MISSING. I’ve already written three chapters, so it’s already a work in progress.
Second, I will come back to number three, HIS KIND OF MUSIC, to do more editing and improvements, independent of Beta Readers or contest comments.
I know I need to do more marketing, for all my books, but that’s not nearly as appealing as the writing stuff. I have an author book-signing event in April to get ready for, and the Oklahoma Writers’ Federation Inc. annual Writer’s Conference is coming up the first week of May. I’ve entered a few things in the contest, so we’ll see how that goes.
ONWARD!
