IS IT WEDNESDAY? WHERE AM I?
Yes, I’m still here, still writing, still alive. I’m just not sure where “here” is anymore. Many changes in the fabric of our very lives are happening every day. Some are good, but many are troubling. I’m not sure I agree that if the plumbing leaks and the walls need repair, you burn the house down and start over. Mostly, though, I discover every day new depths of my ignorance.
It seems frivolous at times to continue my writing of romance stories. I will do so, as much because I must as by desire. I worry now if they will ever be published at if anyone will,be left to read them.
But write them, I will. I’m furiously working on the last stages of my first book, Return to Rainbow Ridge, hopefully ready to release in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the second, Rule Number One, is about two-thirds through the first draft and being reviewed by my critique group. I’m also doing more research for the third book, His Kind of Music, and the fourth, Something Missing.
“This, too, shall pass” might Be a bit optimistic. Perhaps a better expression might be “Life goes on.” And so it shall, one way or another.
